The classic winter summit trek. Four days through snow-laden pine forests, camping beside the frozen Juda-ka-Talab, and a pre-dawn summit push that ends with the whole Garhwal range lit gold.

Day by day
  1. Day 1

    Dehradun to Sankri

    Scenic 8-hour drive along the Tons river to Sankri village. Briefing, dinner and early sleep.

  2. Day 2

    Sankri to Juda-ka-Talab

    A 4 km climb through pine forest to the frozen lake campsite.

  3. Day 3

    Summit day

    Pre-dawn start for the Kedarkantha summit at 3,810 m, then descend to Hargaon camp.

  4. Day 4

    Descent and return

    Walk down to Sankri and drive back to Dehradun by evening.
