Day 1
Delhi to Chopta
Overnight departure from Delhi, arriving in Chopta by afternoon. Check in, acclimatise, short forest walk, dinner and bonfire.
Day 2
Tungnath and Chandrashila summit
Early start for the 5 km paved trail to Tungnath temple, then the steeper 1.5 km climb to Chandrashila for panoramic views. Return to Chopta for the evening.
Day 3
Descent and return
Breakfast with mountain views, optional visit to Deoria Tal, and departure for Delhi, arriving late night.

How hard is the Chandrashila climb?
Moderate. The Tungnath trail is paved and steady; the final summit push is steep but short. First-timers with basic fitness complete it comfortably.
Can I do this in winter?
Yes, it is a famous snow trek from December to March. We provide gaiters and microspikes when the trail has snow.
